This week, my friends Steve, Jeff and I made Roubo style frame saws intended for resawing and veneering timber by hand. This is a great project to practice basic woodworking joinery and carving, and if your new year's resolution involves a gym membership, skip the gym and make some veneer with one of these beasts! The wider blade tracks very well with only minimal steering and can cut a board in half to make a panel or is great for sawing thin veneer.
